WavyDavii Barber Shop is based in San Marcos, TX, but David's chair fills up with guys from well outside city limits. People drive in from Buda, Kyle, Wimberley, New Braunfels, and even South Austin, and Texas State students treat it as their go-to spot right in town. Here's a look at where our customers are coming from, and why the trip keeps being worth it.

San Marcos and Beyond

The shop sits at 306 N Edward Gary Unit C, right near downtown San Marcos and a few minutes from Texas State's campus. If you're already local, you already know where to find us. If you're not, here's what the drive looks like from the towns we hear from most.

Buda

About 9 miles north, generally a 10 to 15 minute drive down I-35. Buda's grown fast, and a lot of guys who've tried the newer volume-focused shops closer to home end up down here instead. [See the Buda area page →]

Kyle

About 10 miles north, generally a 12 to 15 minute drive down I-35. Same story as Buda: explosive growth, plenty of new chain shops, and a steady stream of Kyle regulars who wanted something slower and more precise. [See the Kyle area page →]

New Braunfels

About 19 miles south, generally a 20 to 25 minute drive up I-35. New Braunfels customers who've tried the shops in Gruene or downtown and left disappointed make the trip north for a cut that's actually worth the time. [See the New Braunfels area page →]

South Austin Tx

Roughly 20 to 30 miles north depending on where you're starting, with I-35 traffic adding some variability. South Austin guys from Onion Creek, Slaughter Lane, and Southpark Meadows make the drive down when they want something Austin's volume-focused shops aren't offering. [See the South Austin area page →]
